How to choose?

Whether you wish to overcome a personal issue or optimise your professional project, you’ll want the support of the best coach.

If the coach you meet shakes you up a little; that’s great! It’s in your interest to have the support of someone whose posture, dynamism, authenticity and ethic you can look up to – an inspiring professional.

The coach’s focus is you; asking the right questions, not to “pigeon-hole” or judge you, but to enable you to better know yourself and your project. You’re not a guinea pig – don’t let anyone tell you “you’re like this or like that...” or “I know who you are and what you have to do”... Steer clear of those!

Listen to your intuition: trust it. Perhaps the coach came recommended, or you were impressed with their publications or website – but once you contacted them it just didn’t feel right. Feel free to change! It’s essential that you and your coach match so that you can feel safe enough to step out of your comfort zone.

A coach isn’t a teacher either; you shouldn’t feel like you’re having a lesson. Nor are they a spiritual advisor – if they start preaching, run! They’re not there to tell you what to do and how to do it, but rather to ask the right questions and pick up on your answers to guide your energy and thinking in a practical and empowering way. You’re the one finding the solutions. You deserve a made-to-measure plan!

The best thing to do is the hardest – to take the leap of faith and have a first session with a coach which may be the start of a professional, warm and productive relationship – go for it!
